Free Career Support for Teddington Residents

Whether you're looking to re-enter the workplace or seeking a career change, local charity Room for Work provides solid career support delivered in a friendly, local environment in Hampton Wick.

Starting November 3rd, the charity will present a free career development course for Teddington residents. The programme is for skilled workers aged 40 and over, with previous work experience that could range from administrative to managerial and professional roles.

You will be with likeminded people, using the power of community to build motivation and confidence. Course participants learn current employability skills with an emphasis on networking, developing social media and AI skills, improving CVs, and practising competency-based interviews.

Tailored one-to-one mentoring is provided by the Course Leader. Follow-up coaching support is also available at no cost. And there's more: Room for Work is partnered with Richmond Work Match, enabling course participants to access local job opportunities.  

To attend, participants will need: a laptop or tablet; access to the web; a good working knowledge of English and basic computer skills.

The 6-week course is presented at The Warehouse, St John's Hampton Wick, KT1 4AL. Classes are held on Mondays and Tuesdays, 10.30am-1pm both days, starting November 3rd and running to December 9th.
