Art Summer School: Linocut Printmaking
Landmark Arts Centre
17th Aug 2021 - 19th Aug 2021
UNTIL Thursday 19th August

The Landmark Summer Art School offers you the opportunity to discover your creative potential. Enjoy a moment of uninterrupted time to develop your art skills with individual tuition and guidance.
Jennie ing is a local artist and an experienced tutor. She intends the course to be fun, concentrating on relief printmaking without a press, and explores the whole creative process from generating ideas and experimenting with techniques and approaches through to producing a selection of finished linocut prints. Linocut is a fascinating and versatile technique involving the cutting away from the surface of a piece of lino, rolling ink over the remaining area and transferring the ink to paper using pressure. You will work with imagery gained from your choice of photographs, sketches, with a focus on a variety of subject matter. Skills will be developed through experimenting with mark making, working with positive and negative cutting, colour and "reduction block" print and understanding registration methods.
All are welcome: complete beginners and those with some knowledge will enjoy the course and find something new to takeaway. Basic materials are included (lino, other cutting surfaces, paper and ink). Tools will be available to use in the workshops.
Times: 10.30am – 4.30pm
Cost: £150 including some materials For more information or to book a place visit www.landmarkartscentre.org or telephone 020 8977 7558.Share:
