Open to all adults no experience required. Feltmaking is one of the oldest textile crafts in the world, used in nomadic cultures for centuries as a way to make carpets, boots, clothes and portable homes known as yurts. Today it is also a popular textile craft and in this workshop you will learn how to make a 3D vessel using the wet felting technique. You can choose to make something purely decorative or make a something more practical such as a flowerpot or small trinket bowl.
Materials provided: The tutor will supply a pack of wool fibres and other fibres for decoration. The tutor will supply the feltmaking equipment (bubble wrap, water sprinklers, rollers etc) required for use by students during the workshop.
Participants are asked to bring: Old towel; a large hand towel or small bath towel is ideal; Small plastic jug or bowl (big enough to hold a litre of water in; Plastic bag to take wet work home; Apron and notebook and pen or pencil -optional.
Times: 10am - 1pm
