Why not come along to our relaxing drawing class and treat yourself to a wonderful Sunday afternoon of creative escape?

In this informative and fun workshop, experienced teacher and professional artist Karen Iredale will demonstrate simple cross hatching techniques using black and blue pens and show you how to use relative proportions, negative shape and the use of line direction to draw shells.

You'll then have plenty of time to experiment with the techniques, drawing the outlines of the shells in pencil and then trying out various cross hatching techniques, to show the light and dark areas and bring out the form of the shells.

We'll have a range of different shells for you to draw, but feel free to bring any of your own too!

The workshop is suitable for both absolute beginners and those with a little drawing experience.

All materials will be provided, together with lots of tea, coffee and homemade cake.
