In her latest workshop with Handmade, local creative writing teacher, Janette Simpson, will lead you through a series of structured writing exercises before giving you space to write your own story. It could be about a childhood memory, about your favourite colour or about the first time you experienced heartbreak as a teenager. The options are limitless – we have all lived a life.

Please bring with you an object, photograph or picture that is meaningful to you.

This workshop is suitable for writers of all abilities and offers you a safe place to come and experiment with your writing. The only experience required is life experience!

As always, we'll be serving hot drinks and homemade cake to help creativity.

Janette Simpson is an experienced and popular writing teacher, who has led many creative writing workshops with both adults and children. Participant numbers are kept deliberately low (maximum 8) to ensure that everyone has plenty of opportunities to contribute and to ask questions.
