Hampton and Richmond conceded a last-minute penalty against Dulwich Hamlet to deny them taking a point away from Champion Hill in National League South.

It was looking like a tough afternoon for Hampton as Nana Owusu tucked home a penalty and Danny Mills scored inside 15 minutes.

Then Alfie Whittingham pulled one back in first half stoppage time and Luis Fernandez levelled it up in the second half, but a last-minute penalty from Owusu denied them taking any points.

A third defeat in eight days whilst conceding 12 goals moves the Beavers down a place in the division and has decimated their goal difference.

It took just eight minutes for the breakthrough to come as Tommy Block brought down Will Wood in the penalty area to concede a penalty which Owusu fired up the middle of the goal and into the net.

Bad quickly became worse as after 13 minutes Wood crossed into Mills and his first effort is blocked but it came straight back to the big striker and he dispatched it into the net at the second time of asking.

Then all of a sudden after chances were at a premium for the rest of the half, in stoppage time it was game on as Whittingham ghosted in round the back of the Dulwich defence from a long throw which bounced beyond everyone and prodded home to cut the deficit in half.

The dial was really swinging back towards the Beavers at this point as for seemingly little reason Kreshnic Krasniqi attempted to headbutt Shane Dunne shortly after the goal and was promptly dismissed. Game on indeed.

Whittingham was everywhere for Hampton and shortly after the break Stefan Ilic slid him in behind, but Charlie Grainger stayed big and blocked his attempt to slide the ball past him.

In the 66th minute the pressure told as Tommy Wood hit the post after he got on the end of a free-kick at the back post but Fernandez followed it up and smashed it into the back of the net to get the Beavers back on terms.

Hampton continued to threaten from set pieces as Wood once again hit the woodwork, this time from a corner and bounced over the top.

The set pieces were causing all kinds of havoc as with eleven minutes to play Fernandez's header forced a big save out of Grainger and former-Beaver Sam Deadfield cleared it off the line before Grainger got up to get to the ball before Wood.

Then in the last-minute Dulwich snatched it as Joe Felix was brought down in the area and once again Owusu stepped up and sent it down the middle to win it at the death.
