Ever since Royal Parks started a consultation on introducing car park charges to Bushy Park there has been a fierce opposition to them.
Now a petition has reached nearly 1,000 signatures calling for the charges to be scrapped.

As we head into the weekend with new restrictions being imposed we could all do with something, eve something small, to lift our spirits.
Luckily Twickenham based photographer Ruth Wadey is on hand.
As you will have heard, the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, announced yesterday that the whole of London will move into the "high alert" or Tier 2 category of coronavirus restrictions as of 00:01 tonight, ie. Saturday 17 October.
Along with other London MPs, I was offered a short briefing call with the Care Minister and officials ahead of the announcement in Parliament yesterday morning. The data we were shown on infection rates and growing hospitalisation rates across the city were stark.
The deer in Bushy Park often steal many of the headlines when it comes to animals in the park.
But the Queen's own swans certainly deserved to be admired.
