In 2019 there were over 18,000 (8.5% of the population) Richmond upon Thames residents who provide unpaid care to a family member or a friend who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without their support.

A campaign to save closure-threatened Park Lane Stables in Teddington is set to be launched in the New Year, Teddington Nub News can exclusively reveal.

Stables owner, Natalie O'Rourke, revealed that the landlord of the stables has decided not to renew the lease, which is due to expire on 31 May 2021 and will leave the community asset without a home after 12 years.

Polar bear 'rocking horse' in window of Mary's Living

The beautiful, eye-catching and handcrafted polar bear and its cub, sculptured out of Redwood Pine, dazzling the Xmas-themed shop window of Mary's Living and Giving Shop in Teddington High Street is going up for auction, it was announced today.

The 'rocking horse' style bear and cub was donated to the shop by expert craftsman Trevor Wiffen, who is the father of one of the shop's many volunteers.
