Under the national lockdown, councils are encouraged to keep playgrounds open, so that children can use them during their daily exercise.
However, over the past few weeks there have been many reports in Richmond upon Thames of large groups of adults congregating at the playgrounds whilst supervising their children – meeting with other families, not social distancing or being considerate of any COVID safety measures.

It is good news on COVID case numbers in our area.
The numbers in Richmond Borough and Teddington continue to fall.
A major route in Richmond Borough is set to be reduced to just one lane either way for 13 weeks.
The A316 in Twickenham will be reduced to a single lane in both directions on Great Chertsey Road between Hospital Bridge Roundabout and Apex Corner while the works take place.
Richmond Borough has joined a London-wide trial of a shared e-scooter scheme.
The scheme aims to test the viability and safety of scooters as a long-term solution to the serious air quality and congestion issues across the City.
