Harlequins has signed a new player.
Last week, Harlequins confirmed the signing of England international George Furbank ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 29-year-old has spent his entire senior career at Franklin's Gardens, where he became one of the PREM's most complete back-field operators.
He broke into Northampton's senior side during the 2018/19 campaign, helping the Club claim the Premiership Rugby Cup - its first piece of silverware in five seasons.
Fast forward to 2023/24, Furbank was central to Northampton's Gallagher PREM triumph as it overcame Bath Rugby at Allianz Stadium to be crowned champions - a season in which Saints also reached the semi-finals of the Investec Champions Cup.
The full-back, who can also be deployed at fly-half, stepped up to captain Saints on 12 occasions that term and finished the season with seven tries and 39 points.
Ahead of the 2024/25 season, Furbank was appointed Northampton's 66th Captain, as Northampton made the final of the Investec Champions Cup later that year.
On the international stage, Furbank made his England Test debut in Paris against France in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations.
He earned a recall in 2024, scoring tries against Scotland and Ireland, before touring Japan and New Zealand and starting three Autumn Nations Series fixtures later that year.
Furbank has earnt 14 Test caps so far in his career.
Harlequins' Head Coach Jason Gilmore said: "George is one of the PREM's top talents, and we're excited to be signing a player of his calibre from next season.
"He's someone we've admired for a long time - a player who is composed under pressure, instinctive in broken play, and brings a natural attacking flair that aligns perfectly with how we want to play.
"His ability to see space before others and step in as a second playmaker will add real quality to our squad.
"Beyond his play, George is a proven leader who will add invaluable experience and an understanding of what it takes to win trophies to our squad.
"George also has a strong ambition to return to the Test arena with England heading into a World Cup year, and we're really looking forward to seeing the impact he'll make here at The Stoop."
