Earlier this week we launched the Teddington World Cup of Hospitality and it has received a great response from the community.
The World Cup takes place between August 24th and 28th and will feature a series of Twitter polls to see who is the most popular place to eat and drink in Teddington.
Many of you may be forgiven for thinking that we have all suddenly moved to the Mediterranean climes of the South of France, such has been the increase in temperature.
The hot sunshine has changed our lives in the last few weeks, and especially in 'Teddington on Thames', as I like to call it!

There is some huge sport taking place in the Teddington area this weekend so here's a quick roundup of what's to come.
Rugby
Teddington now has its very own museum of curiosities and it's run by a nine year old.
Ida Buckland, along with her mum Estelle, have set up the museum in their front garden on Wick Road.
Beauty Salons can finally reopen in Teddington from tomorrow (Saturday).
Initially these salons were meant to be reopening on August 1st however these measures were pushed back for two weeks due to a slight rise in cases.

Despite the county being swallowed by London in the 1960s and no longer existing as a postal county since the 1990s many still put it on their address.
