Hundreds of walkers, cyclists and young families descended upon Bushy Park early this morning to take in the fresh air and exercise - and in hope of tracking down a much-needed cup of coffee on a chilly and misty start to the first day of the new coronavirus lockdown.
And they were successful: The Pheasantry café and kiosk, which can be reached via the Teddington entrance to the park, is open for coffee.
Teddington's Co-op store only opened two years ago and has quickly got stuck into town life.
The supermarket on Kingston Road holds regular fundraisers and collections for charities and good causes.

Legendary EastEnders actor John Altman has lifted the lid on his favourite pub in the borough.
The star who played 'Nasty' Nick Cotton in the soap is a resident of nearby Richmond.
Work started today on the NHS walk-through testing centre at the St Mary's University sports campus in Teddington.

The leader of our council Cllr Gareth Roberts said residents "must stay at home" over the 27-day lockdown when it begins tomorrow.

All council-run sports and fitness facilities in Teddington will close later this week for the 27-day lockdown.
"In line with further Covid-19 restrictions announced by the government, from November 5 until December 2, all of the council's sports, fitness centres and swimming pools will be closed.
