Teddington is set to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this week with a variety of special events, street parties and more.

The Platinum Jubilee, which marks 70 years since the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne, will be celebrated over four days from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. Thursday and Friday are bank holidays.

Here's our rundown of what's on in the Teddington area over the long weekend:

Ham House and Garden Jubilee Celebration

Enjoy a relaxing picnic in the beautiful surroundings of Ham House and Garden over the Jubilee bank Holiday from the 2nd - 5th June.

The Wharf Restaurant and Jazz Bar

On the 3rd and 4th June The Wharf will be welcoming customers with a complementary glass of Jubilee Fizz and Coronation chicken canapés to help kickstart their celebratory meal.

Menus will be dedicated to all the incredible seafood and fish that grace our shores, along with special dishes inspired by menus served in London during the Coronation week.

Udney Hall Gardens Jubilee Picnic in the Park

The Rotary Club of Teddington & the Hamptons in partnership with RNLI invite you to join them for a Jubilee Picnic in the Park at Udney Hall Gardens on Saturday June 4th.

The free event is aimed at local people who cannot have their own street parties, bringing the community together to help celebrate the special weekend.

Bring your family, friends and a picnic between 12.00-18.00 to envy a host of live music from local performers and a series of activities.

Hampton Wick High Street Jubilee Celebration

Hampton Wick High Street will be pedestrianised on Saturday June 4th to allow local businesses to transform the high street with food and drink stalls, alfresco dining, live music and kids entertainment all on offer throughout the day from 11.00-18.00.

The music lineup will include a collaborative offering from students and teachers of Teddington School, local performer James Taylor and Nigel Price, an award winning guitarist who will be teaming up with Alban Claret and supported by one of the most in-demand double bass players on London's Jazz scene, Mikele Montolli and Italian drummer Laura Klain.

Queen's Jubilee Thanksgiving at Christ Church

A thanksgiving service for the 70 years of service given by our Monarch will be celebrated at Christ Church on Christchurch Avenue in Teddington on Sunday at 6pm.

All are welcome to join with the service being conducted through the use of prayers, readings, Psalms and hymns from the Coronation Service.

The Book of Common Prayer Lord's Supper will be incorporated as at her coronation.

The sermon will be preached by Right Reverend D F Stockford, Pastor of Christ Church, & Chairman of the Protestant Truth Society and the subject will entail, "Saul, David, & the Kingship of Christ."
