What's on in Teddington is brought to you by the Landmark Arts Centre, The Abercorn Arms, The King's Head, and The Wharf.  

Welcome to your weekly What's on in Teddington.  

Every Thursday we round up all the eye-catching events occurring in your area over the weekend.

Friday 15 December

Landmark Late: Yule, Landmark Arts Centre, 7:30pm, doors 6:45pm 

An exciting mix of vintage vibes, live music and a chance to see Santa… like you have NEVER seen him before! Get involved, get together or get 'mulled' at the botanical cocktail station. A festive feast of performances and activities to keep big kids amused this Christmas. 

Book Club, Landmark Arts Centre, 1pm 

Do you have a passion for reading? Then why not join the Landmark Arts Centre every month meet like-minded readers and discover exciting new reads. This month's book is: Island of Missing Trees, Elif Shafak.

Winter Wonderland Christmas, The Wharf  

The Wharf is hosting Winter Wonderland Christmas shared party nights – these events are perfect for an office or family party and is complete with a special party nights menu. Their celebratory package includes a complimentary Christmas cocktail on arrival, a festive two or three-course menu, Christmas decorations, table plan and crackers and a top DJ playing until late.

Get Gospel, The Abercorn Arms, 8pm 

Performing classic and contemporary gospel, Christmas carols and soul this is an unmissable night out. Enjoy lashings of mulled wine, draft beer, candles and festive cheer. If you're wanting to catch up with mates ahead of the festive season (or need some fuel to start planning it), The Abercorn Arms have offers on nearly every night of the week.

Carols by Candlelight, Landmark Arts Centre 

Join us the Landmark a festive programme of words and music performed by Surrey Brass, narrator Giles Abbott and Vaughan Williams Singers together with St Georges Junior Choir (Sat only). There will be plenty of carols for you to join in with and mince pies and mulled wine on sale too. This event always sells out quickly so early booking strongly recommended.

Santa's Grotto, Hampton Hill Theatre 

Santa's been busy getting his sleigh ready and making sure Rudolf's nose is extra shiny for his grand entrance into our enchanted grotto. And hold onto your stockings, because Santa's got a surprise treat waiting for you to take home! Don't wait a second longer, book your spot now and make some magical memories!

A Christmas Carol, Normansfield Theatre, 3pm and 7:30pm 

This special charity production of the Christmas classic is presented by Flying Pickle Performing Arts as a solo show. The show is performed by actor and Flying Pickle head of studio, Sam Devereaux. Sam will use his experience as a theatre actor and audiobook narrator to bring the novella to life all by himself, just as Dickens himself once did. The venue is the wonderful Grade II listed Victorian Normansfield Theatre in Teddington, one of only two such theatres in private hands in the UK. The production is directed by Flying Pickle Head of Theatre, Georgie Devereaux. 

Sunday 17 December 

Sunday Quiz, The Abercorn Arms, 7:30pm 

Get your thinking caps on and sharpen your competitive streak with a pub quiz! 1st prize is a £50 tab voucher with rollover jackpot questions. Food served until 10pm.

Dai Price Trio performing at The Wharf, 1:30pm 

Double Bassist and singer Dai Price is a stalwart of the London Roots music and Rhythm 'n' Blues scene. His healing voice can be heard with Dai and The Ramblers and The Cosimo Matassa Project.

Winter Show, Orleans House Gallery, 10am-5pm 

Orleans House Gallery is hosting its Winter Show which features the work of some of Richmond's best artists, running until the end of January. Each artwork on display will be original, for sale and made in the borough so come along and celebrate Richmond's vibrant visual arts community.
