What's on in Teddington is brought to you by the Landmark Arts Centre, The Abercorn Arms, The Lensbury and The Wharf.  

Welcome to your weekly What's on in Teddington.  

Every Thursday we round up all the eye-catching events occurring in your area over the weekend.

ALL WEEKEND 

End of Summer Beer Festival, The Abercorn Arms

The Abercorn Arms is featuring an incredible selection of 20 different kegs, 6 satisfying ciders and an exclusive gin and rum bar. There will be some fantastic beers from local breweries such as Jawbone and Park Brewery along with some cracking IPA's and Pale Ales from fan favourites such as Deya, Northern Monk, Polly's and Siren. Across 20 additional taps there will be something for everyone from sours and stouts to DDH pales and pilsners. 

Get stuck into a delicious hog roast, directly from the historic Smithfield Market, and indulge in the last BBQ of the season from the chefs. While away your weekend to live music and catch-up with friends and family. 

Friday 22 September 

Disco Soul, Teddington Constitutional Club, 7:30pm- midnight  

Do you enjoy 70's disco and soul music, with a handful of 60's Motown thrown in for good measure? Come along to Teddington Constitutional Club, where DJ's "Disco Sue" and "Markus" play the best vinyl records to a friendly (if slightly worn out) bunch of party people of varying ages, who are old enough to know better. 

Jazz Festival, The Wharf, from 1pm 

The Wharf are hosting Teddington's first Jazz Festival next weekend.The festival will celebrate the melting pot of Jazz, Soul and Blues styles featuring International Artists alongside locally based Musicians, all in the intimate riverside setting of The Wharf. 

From Gypsy Jazz (La Bouche Manouche) and Latin (Andalus)  to Contemporary (The Perhaps Trio), Classic Swing (Tracy Ray Trio) and classic New Orleans Rhythm and Blues and Jazz (The Cosimo Matassa Project) the festival gives the opportunity to experience warm, up close and personal performances from a broad range of artists and genres.

Hockey Matches, Teddington School Pitch 1 and 2, from 10am 

Get your sticks and balls in order- it's the start of a new hockey season! Kicking (or hitting?) off with Teddington Hockey Club's Women W2 playing Barnes Women W3 (13:00), and Men's M6 against NPL M2 (10:00), Teddington Oaks against Barnes M4 (1:15), and Women's W7 team against Old Kingstonian. W3 (10:15) 

Sunday 24 September  

The Indian army at the palace, Hampton Court Palace, 10am-5:30pm 

Explore the forgotten story of Indian Army soldiers who camped at Hampton Court Palace in the early 20th century, through a new exhibition of previously unseen objects, photographs, film and personal stories. 

Sunday Quiz, The Abercorn Arms, 7:30pm 

Get your thinking caps on and sharpen your competitive streak with a pub quiz! 1st prize is a £50 tab voucher with rollover jackpot questions. Food served until 10pm.
