The Luminous
Friday 27 September, The Exchange 75 London Road Twickenham.
Part Victorian thriller, part contemporary tale of friendship and rebellion, this time-travelling, genre-busting new show combines RedCape Theatre's unique blend of physical theatre, dark comedy and gripping storytelling.
As protestors gather outside the hospital where they work, three women meet up for a monthly book club. This month's book is 'Luminous' – a dark delve into Victorian London, where lurid stories are brought to life for entertainment in the penny gaff theatres: tales of an anonymous killer haunting the city and women whose bones glow through their skin.
In the twenty-first century living room, the wine is flowing and the discussion is getting heated. Mighty thinks the book is outrageous, Mags thinks it's the best thing she's ever read, and Alice hasn't got past page three. As the women get drawn deeper into the story, memories surface, unexpected connections are made, and the worlds begin to blur.
Age Guidance: 14+ years.

Weave A Landscape
Saturday 28 September, Stepping on Out, 7 The Causeway, Teddington.
oin us for a wonderful day of textile art with expert weaver Hilary Charlesworth.
In this full day course, Hilary will teach you all the skills necessary to produce your own tapestry woven landscape. Using a simple frame loom and a variety of yarns, you'll spend the day learning how to weave your design, using various techniques, both traditional and 3D.
All materials, including loom and yarns, are included, so you'll be able to continue working at home on your picture.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with some prior experience of tapestry weaving, who want to practise and extend their skills.
We'll provide lots of tea, coffee and cake throughout the day and there will be a break for lunch, when you can either eat a packed lunch or treat yourself at one of the many cafes in Teddington.
Hilary is a very experienced teacher who's been spinning and weaving for almost 30 years and has been featured on Kirsty Alsopp's "Homemade House".

Album Celebration
Sunday 29 September, Thames Side Brewery, Doors open: 2pm.
Go along to the launch of Liz Arcane's album Honest Soul at Thames Side Brewery.
Arcane says: "It's been such an adventure completing this album (due for digital release on Friday 2nd August via Bandcamp, and CD in early September if not before)."
Digital and CD editions of the full 7-track album include two bonus tracks which will not appear on streaming platforms.
To coincide with the shorter release on streaming services on 29th Sept, Arcane is pleased to invite you to an official album celebration on the same day between 2 and 4pm with a fabulous line-up (myself, Dave Matthews on guitar, James Mason on bass, Sam Neild on cajon). It will be free of charge and a very relaxed event, and I hope to see you there. Musicians are encouraged to stay on after 4pm for the Open Mic and round off their weekend in style!
