The Shawshank Redemption

The next three days mark the last chance to catch Richmond Theatre's Shawshank Redemption.

Joe Absolom and Ben Onwukwe star in the play based on the 1982 novella Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption, which became a classic movie.

A riveting tale of desperation, injustice, friendship and hope behind the claustrophobic bars of a maximum-security facility.

Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story

Hampton Hill Theatre, the home of Teddington Theatre Club, presents Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story.

Relationships can be Murder. What makes two young men from good homes kidnap and kill an innocent child? This true story is told in musical flashbacks across 34 years following this heinous crime in Chicago in 1924.

A two-character dramatic musical, based on the true story of Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, two 19-year-olds who murdered 14-year-old Bobby Franks in Chicago in 1924.

Thrill Me focuses less on the murder itself than on the relationship between Leopold and Loeb.

Watercolour Field of Flowers workshop

Join Handmade Workshops for the latest in their series of watercolours workshops with experienced local teacher and professional artist Karen Iredale Lucas, working on the watercolour techniques involved in painting flowers.

In this informative and relaxing Sunday morning workshop, Karen will introduce you to various techniques for painting flower fields using masking fluid and layers of colour. During the class, she'll demonstrate how to translate different photographic images of flower fields into water colour images, then guide you as you work on your own paintings. At the end, everyone will have an original A3 sized watercolour art work to take home.

The class is suitable for both beginners and for those with more experience wanting to improve their painting skills. It's also a great follow-on for attendees of Karen's recent watercolour flowers class, as she'll be demonstrating and also extending the techniques covered then.
