The Lavender Hill Mob at Richmond Theatre
The men who broke the bank and lost the cargo are back! The world premiere adaptation of The Lavender Hill Mob, the classic Ealing Comedy starring Alec Guinness, is live at the Richmond Theatre until Saturday!
This side-splittingly funny, fast-paced comedy tells the story of Henry Holland, an unassuming bank clerk who dreams of stealing the van full of gold bullion he drives across London each day. When Henry learns that his new lodger makes Eiffel Tower paperweights out of lead, he devises a plan to make his dream a reality. It's a golden opportunity to pull off the crime of the century, they'd have to be fools to mess it up …

Make a Paper Lightbox workshop at The Warehouse
A paper cut light box is a magical way of creating a three- dimensional piece of art. By using light to enhance the hand-cut layers, beautiful shadows are cast, giving a subtle depth to the piece.
Why not come along and enjoy a wonderfully relaxing and mindful afternoon of creativity with talented local artist Dawn Thornhill and learn how to create your own original light box?
In this three and a half hour workshop, you will be taught the basics of paper cutting, including how to use a scalpel safely and the principles behind making a lightbox. You can then choose from a wide range of templates (including some festive themes, in case you want to create a seasonal piece) to create and build your own multi-layer A5 light box.
All materials are included to make your light box, together with use of tools. Plenty of tea, coffee and home make cake will also be provided!
No previous experience of drawing or paper cutting is needed at all, but the class is not suitable for under 18s due to the sharp scalpels used.
Festive Rag Wreaths
It's set to be a busy Saturday for Handmade Workshops, the hub for creative classes in south west London, as they host their second workshop of the day at The Warehouse in Hampton Wick.
Come along to the festive workshop and learn the traditional craft of rag rugging. Using hessian, an old-fashioned rag rugging tool and a combination of t-shirt material, old silks, ribbon and lots of other fabrics, you'll learn how to design a wreath that you can use again and again.
During the workshop you'll be taught the age-old technique of shaggy rag rugging and also how to cut the fabric strips, bind edges and finish your wreath.
If you'd like to make a wreath in a different colour scheme, just let the team know in advance and they'll do their best to find appropriate fabrics.
The class is suitable for both beginners and people who've done some rag rugging before.
