Friday, July 29 - Sunday, July 31

The Puppet Theatre Barge, Richmond riverside

The UK's only floating theatre which has been running for over 40 years, is on Richmond riverside until 14th August, posing as the perfect family day out for a unique theatre experience!

The story of the most famous race on earth is beautifully brought to life using marionettes (string puppets). The Hare and the Tortoise is a production for all the family, featuring this classic story, plus many other tales from the famed storyteller Aesop.

Expect lions and mice, spiders and cats – there are storms to be weathered and always a few morals to take away!

Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore at Hampton Hill Theatre

Hampton Hill Theatre, home of Teddington Theatre Club, invites you this Saturday night for a tale of mismatched love across different social classes.

Josephine is the captain's daughter and has fallen for lowly sailor Ralph. Yet her father has other ideas – he has promised her to Sir Joseph Porter, the First Lord of the Admiralty.

Will love prevail? Climb aboard to find out and enjoy a feast of fun along the way. Hip hip hooray! Saturday, July 30 - Sunday, July 31

National Open Garden Scheme

The National Garden Scheme gives visitors unique access to 3,500 exceptional private garden in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, and raises impressive amounts of money for nursing and health charities through admissions tea and cake.

This weekend, Teddington residents have access to a wonderful apiary garden with six busy hives, which will be of particular interest to bee-keepers, in Hampton.

The Bushy front garden consists of a wonderful vegetable plot with a beautiful perimeter flower bed.

Walk through a past swimming pool, greenhouses with an array of vegetable pots and explore the back garden featuring beehives, ponds, chickens and informal flower beds.

A chance to be nosy in truly beautiful surroundings!

Light refreshments will be available with access to pre-booking or pay on the day.

Ted Lasso Tours

Explore the pretty, quintessentially borough of Richmond, visiting all of the Richmond Lasso Locations that are possible to visit, including Ted's Local Pub, front door & thinking bench!

Experience a picturesque english town and stunning riverside, passing by historical sites such as an old residence of Elizabeth 1st.

In addition, learn a little bit about the history of Richmond and see some houses of the rich & famous locals!

General tours on a Saturday run from 3.30pm and midday on Sunday.
