Richmond Council Leader, Gareth Roberts, has give his latest video update on COVID-19 statistic.

You can watch the video of the Liberal Democrat Councillor for Hampton above.

Or you can read the key points below as a national lockdown was introduced earlier this week.

The current infection rate in the borough is 658.5 cases per 100,000.

1,304 cases have been identified in the last seven days alone.

The total cases in the borough therefore is 7,148 since March 2020.

Four people have died in the past week within 28 days of a positive COVID test - bringing the borough's total up to 185.

6,903 people have been tested in the past seven days with a 17.9% positive return rate.

Some people have been tested more than once hence the difference between the positive return rate and need cases identified.

Councillor Roberts urged people to stay at home as much as possible.

He also said that people who cannot work from home should get tested as frequently as they can under the new rapid test programme.
