The work to Teddington Lock is nearing the end of Phase 3 of the project which involves replacing the bearings on Lockcut Bridge (the Ham-side bridge).

To safely and effectively carry out these works, Richmond Council had to restrict access on several weeknights last month.

There will be a series of further weeknight closures so the council can complete the works to the bearings, de-jack the bridge, and reinstate the steps.

This means that there will be further weeknight closures.

These weeknight closures will take place on:

  • 16 December to 20 December
  • 6 January to 10 January
  • 13 January and 14 January

The council will be working overnight on weeknights to minimise disruption to commuters and schools.

The bridges will be closed from 9pm to 6am on each of the weeknights above.
