It is a turbulent time for those receiving their 'A' Level results, with many applicants putting a renewed focus in degrees which give them a clear path into their future careers.
St Mary's University has today (Thursday 13th August) seen a huge number of enquiries from students who are keen to study at its Strawberry Hill campus.
Applicants looking for a place in Clearing or simply wanting to discuss options are welcome to call the University's dedicated phone line on 020 8240 4225.
St Mary's was recently rated amongst the top three in London for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey, in addition to being rated top in London for Course and Teaching Satisfaction in the 2020 Guardian University Guide.
Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement Paul Bridge said:
"We know results day is a stressful time for students, even more-so this year with the on-going Coronavirus situation and uncertainty around predicted grades.
"Some young people are in the unsettling position of being forced to review their options by entering Clearing.
"Interestingly, we've also spoken to many others who are looking for top-rated programmes which allow them to stay nearer to home.
"At St Mary's we're fortunate that we can offer a London University experience, but within a safe and leafy campus with plenty of open space.
"Our team of staff and students have been working hard today, in a socially-distanced office environment, to discuss options with our future students.
"I'd really encourage anyone considering St Mary's to call us soon to talk through opportunities here, as several of our programmes are already almost full."
Well-known for its small and friendly community feel, the University was named as London's safest university by the Complete University Guide, and in the top three universities in the country for its competitive Sports programme and facilities.
During Clearing, St Mary's has places available in a host of subject areas, from Business and Law to Psychology and the University's highly sought-after Sport and Physiotherapy programmes.
Staying true to St Mary's roots in teacher training, those hoping to become primary school teachers have also been discussing their options with colleagues from across the University's Ofsted Outstanding rated Institute of Education.
