A Teddington household was left shaken this morning after realised three masked men had tried to break into their home last night.
The residents on King Edward's Grove discovered three strangers tried to get into their house through the front door during the early hours today (February 12) after they checked the footage on their video doorbell.
The disturbing footage - shared with Nub News - shows three men try the lock at around 1.30am.
A resident from the home told Nub News: "Luckily their keys didn't fit our door."
The residents reported the incident to the police earlier today and the police later visited the home.
A resident said: "The police came to my house, they said that the burglars are looking for YALE locks because they can use a plastic card to open the door, and that's what they were doing to my door.
"They gave up because it wasn't that simple on my door. However, the policeman opened it in seconds using that method.
"The police recommend changing the lock to a non-wedge lock or to always use the deadlock."
The police have been contacted for more information.
