Three individuals removed from UK following Hampton Wick Car Wash police raid

Three individuals have been removed from the United Kingdom under immigration enforcement measures following arrests made at a car wash in Hampton Wick in May.
Following a police raid at Hampton Wick Car Wash on 19 May, immigration officers arrested four Indian nationals, who they identified as "male overstayers".
These men were then detained pending removal from the UK.
A Home Office spokesperson told Teddington Nub News: "Illegal working undermines honest employers and undercuts local wages – it is against the law to work in the UK when you have no right to be here. The government is clamping down on employers who do this up and down the country.
"Since coming into power, a year ago we have doubled enforcement action nationwide with visits and arrests, including to businesses like car washes, up by over 50%."
748 illegal working civil penalty notices were also handed to businesses caught violating immigration rules in the first quarter (January to March) of the year, marking the highest level since 2016 and a 81% increase compared to the same time last year.
