There is some huge sport taking place in the Teddington area this weekend so here's a quick roundup of what's to come.

Rugby

The biggest clash of the weekend takes place tonight when Harlequins host Sale Sharks at the Stoop.

Normally this 7:45pm kick off would be a big event but it is now even bigger because it is the return of Premiership rugby.

The top flight in England has not not had a game since March so this a hugely important fixture.

Even without the Quins fans in attendance the Twickenham based side will want to make sure that they kick things off with a win.

Sale are a lot higher up in the table, as they sit second compared to Harlequins' 7th but form may well go out of the window given how long it has been since the last round of fixtures.

Cricket

It is another packed weekend for Teddington Cricket Club as they compete in the Middlesex County Cricket with all three teams in the top division of their respective league.

After suffering their first defeat last week the first team will look to get back on track as they travel away to Shepherd's Bush who they are level on points with.

Both teams are chasing down a 10 point lead that table toppers Ealing currently have. This game starts at 11:30am.

The second team are playing at Bushy Park this weekend and it's a huge local derby with neighbours Twickenham.

The game starts at 12pm and with Teddington currently top of the table they will want to make sure they stay above their rivals.

Teddington thirds take on Eastcote at 12pm tomorrow with another victory expected of the Bushy Park Club.

Teddington are top of the league with four straight wins so will be hoping to continue that streak.
