Fullers pub chain's The Rising Sun in Isleworth is considering taking over The Lion on Wick Road in Teddington.

The new pub would offer quiz nights, live music, family-themed days, and a Thai and lunchtime 'Express Menu" as well as showing live sports.

However, before it signs the dotted line, the chain wants to hear what locals think of its takeover.

Taking to Facebook, The Rising Sun asked locals what they think about its concept and commenters are not impressed, with many expressing that as much as they love Thai food, they'd much rather see a traditional English menu including Sunday roasts.

Teddington Nub contacted The Rising Sun for comment, however, they said it is too soon to comment on the matter further, but will have more to say in three weeks time.

The Lion Pub permanently closed its doors in December 2022 and the site has since remained derelict.
