The Builders Arms pub in Teddington set to reopen tomorrow
The Builders Arms Pub on Field Lane is set to reopen tomorrow, Thursday 28 November, at 5pm, the same day as the Teddington Christmas Lights Up.
The pub, which closed down two years ago, has a new landlord, Barry Wilson, and has been completely renovated, showcasing a new exterior and sign.
Wilson bought the site, which was up for £800,000, from Fleurets Estate Agents in July this year.
Speaking about his excitement about the opening, the pub's new manager, Josh Millian, told Teddington Nub: "We're super excited about the pub's opening and it's going to feel great when we finally let the punters in.
"There's still lots to do, but we'll be ready by tomorrow evening."
Millian explained that the new pub will play all kinds of sports, including football, rugby, cricket, and lacrosse.
"We want the pub to be for everyone," he said.
"We want punters to enjoy watching sports in the day and then relax for a nice drink in the evening.
"We'll be the only pub in town that will do this.
"Teddington needs a pub like this."
Millian said that they plan to have a kitchen up and running in a couple months' time with a "nice" menu, but wants to get the bar sorted first, ensuring that all the best drinks are stocked, and all the bar staff are fully trained.
"In six months' time, we hope to have a nice menu, bar snacks, and good drinks, he said."
While the pub finds its feet, Millian explained, it hopes to serve bar snacks like salted potatoes, for punters to enjoy with their drinks.
He said: "We've all got really good ideas, and we just want to make it the best possible pub."
The staff at the Builders Arma seem very passionate about what they do.
Millian has worked in pubs along Teddington High Street "for years".
