Thames Water is currently attending an emergency burst water main in the carriageway of Upper Sunbury Road in Hampton, 600 meters east of junction with Harfield Road, Sunbury.

Traffic is being managed by two-way lights which are being manually controlled to help the flow of traffic.

The estimated completion date is Friday, 16 January.

Speaking about gas escapes and water leaks, Richmond Council says: "Please do not assume that someone else has phoned it in. Please do not report these to the Council. The following free phone numbers should be used to report leaks."

To report water leaks, you should call 0800 714 614 and to report gas escapes, you should call 0800 111 999.
