Teddington's NPL Football Club under 14's player Albert Kadar has signed for Brighton & Hove Albion FC.

Albert has been with NPLYFC since the age of 10 and played predominantly as a centre back under the tutelage of Coach Simon Karrie.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the club said: "Huge congratulations to U14 Protons' very own Albert Kadar. @brightonfctv have got themselves an amazing signing. Good luck Albert and keep working hard to showcase your talent from everyone here @NPLYOUTHFC."

He was made team Captain last season where he lead the U13 Protons to the Surrey Youth League (SYL) Premier Elite title and Surrey County Cup double.

A spokesperson from NPLYFC said: "The club stated Albert possesses excellent composure under pressure and is especially dangerous in 1v1 situations.

"As well as being an extremely likeable young man, Albert also competes as a top athlete for Kingsmeadow athletics club."

NPLYFC wished him all the success for the future.
