5th Nov 2021 | Local News

The Teddington World Cup of Hospitality kicks off next week and there are 16 excellent venues ready to try and become the champion of Teddington.

In Group C we have four wildly different forms of hospitality so here's a quick reminder of what they are all about.

Remember the World Cup will be contested between 24th and 28th August on Twitter and Facebook.

Group C will take place on the 25th and the polls will run between 9am and 4pm.

So without further ado here's a quick line about all the restaurants, pubs and cafes in this contest.

La Dolce Vita

Our first restaurant is located on Waldergrave Road.

Teddington is full of quality Italian restaurants and La Dolce Vita is certainly up there with the best of them.

Here is what they say:

"We opened for business in August 2009 and quickly became local favorite. La Dolce Vita is a classic Italian restaurant that offers the finest of contemporary Italian cuisine in Teddington.

"La Dolce Vita is open to the public for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner seven days a week."

IL Preferito

This group is certainly the battle of the Italian restaurants.

A relative newcomer to Teddington you can find this exciting new restaurant on Kingston Road.

Here is what one of their customers, Rand Alkinani, had to say:

"Lovely restaurant with amazing service. The food was delicious and came quickly.

"The taste reminds me as if I was in Italy. The restaurant is clean and has the best chef.

"The seating was very comfortable and I would definitely recommend it for family gatherings."

One One Four

Situated on the high street One One Four is leading the way for neighbourhood restaurants Teddington.

Here is a word from owner Sam Berry:

"One One Four is a neighbourhood restaurant located in the heart of Teddington High Street. City meets country. In all the good ways. An easy mix of innovation and international cuisine with openness and rootsy warmth.

"It's a natural extension of who we are – part city slicker, part bumpkin, with a vision that is guided by the seasons, our travels and our experiences. One One Four is us. A husband and wife team, surrounded by a top bunch of people.

"Our concept is simple – contemporary dining in a relaxed environment. It's food inspired by fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, paired with an eclectic selection of wines, gin and innovative cocktails."

Sidra

Located on Church Road this cafe has to be one of Teddington's favorites.

Here's how they describe themselves:

"At Sidra Teddington, we are passionate about what we do. Based in Teddington and with over 20 years experience, we're a one-of-a-kind cafe experience catering to the individual and to the masses.

"We have a wide range of freshly prepared and hand-made food. Too good to be missed, why not visit us to see what all the fuss is about?"
