Teddington vape and technology repair shop seeks permission to sell alcohol and extended operating hours

A vape and technology repair shop in Teddington has applied for extended operating hours and permission to sell alcohol.
Tech n' Vape, which is located on Broad Street is currently open from 10am – 6pm seven days a week.
However, it would like to extend its operating hours to 8am – 11pm seven days a week.
It has also applied for permission to sell alcohol during these extended operating hours.
To help prevent crime and disorder which may be caused by these extended operating hours and the sell of alcohol, the shop says that "CCTV shall be installed to Home Office Guidance standards and maintained in a good working condition and recordings shall be kept for 31 days and shall be made available to police and authorised Officers from Richmond Council".
The licensing application document adds: "The CCTV system shall be capable of obtaining clear facial recognition images and a clear head and shoulders image of every person entering or leaving the premises.
"The CCTV system shall display on any recordings, the correct date and time of the recording.
"A member of staff trained in the use of the CCTV system shall be available at the premise at all times that the premises are open to the public.
"A CCTV camera shall be installed to cover the entrance of the premises and further cameras installed to cover the internal area and servery counter."
The shop also says that it will display a notice "asking customers to leave quietly from premises also customers will be told in person to leave quietly and not to disturb the local neighbourhood".
It will also have a "Strict policy in place to tell all staff not to serve alcohol to drunks at all".
Residents have until Thursday, 25 April 2025 to make representations.
