Since the pandemic started back in March we have had to adapt to working from home.
This means that for people in Teddington the daily commute into central London suddenly became a thing of the past?
So do you miss the commute or are you glad to see the back of it? Here is what our followers on social media had to say:
Joanne Jacques said: "I made my first trip to a client's head office this morning since 23 March. Two and a half hour round trip (just picking up IT equipment) to go 12 miles and back. Fortunately my husband drove otherwise it would have been over 3 hours on public transport. So, not missing the commute very much."
Adam Tarshis said: "People may miss being with their colleges, but I doubt anyone enjoys the commute."
David Michael said: "Actually the only negative for me I used to read my kindle for three hours per day and shamefully I haven't read anything non work related since mid-March!"
Rachel Terry said: "Miss up to 2 hours each way stuck on overfull buses and trains every day? You've got to be joking! Life is way better without it."
Twickerpics on Twitter said: "I've been into the office a several times. It's good to actually see people and interact as against sitting in my bedroom/office on constant Zoom calls. The trains are empty and I avoid the tube so walk from Waterloo to Portland Place. Good exercise anyway."
HeathFI said: "Commute's been lovely since all this started, plenty of seats and trains running on time. People worried about it shouldn't be."
So it seems that people have not been missing the commute at all.
