Teddington supermarket seeks extended delivery operating hours for late night refreshments and alcohol supply

A supermarket chain in Teddington has submitted a licensing application to Richmond Council to extend its delivery operating hours for late night refreshments and supply of alcohol.
The Co-op, located on Kingston Road, seeks permission to supply late night refreshments between 11pm and 5am seven days a week.
The store will close to the public at 11pm and re-open at 7am the following day. All sales between these times from Monday - Sunday will be for on-line delivery only. Conditions will apply.
It also seeks permission to supply alcohol via online delivery after midnight seven days a week.
The store's operating hours are 7am – 11pm seven days a week.
With regards to the four licensing objectives that come with any premises license, the applicant says it has "given thought to the potential impact of the grant of this application on the four licensing objectives and, having regarding to the locality, considers that the following conditions are appropriate and proportionate".
To prevent any anti-social behaviour that may come with the proposed extended sale hours, the Co-op says it will install CCTV, comply to the Challenge 25 Proof of Age scheme, record an Incident log, and ensure all relevant staff shall be trained in relation to their responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003.
Residents have until Thursday, 4 September 2025 to make representations.
