A refurbished stables in Teddington has been shortlisted for an award by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), which recognises and celebrates the most innovative, sustainable, and high-quality architectural projects across the UK and internationally.
Park Lane Stables (PLS) is one of 72 projects shortlisted across London, and one of only 14 in South West London.
Speaking about the nomination, PLS' Architect, Sam Kamleh of Architecture WK, told Nub News: "We're so delighted to be shortlisted for the RIBA London Awards - it is such an honour, not for us but all those involved in the project.
"It is recognition that the passion of someone as dedicated as Natalie [PLS's founder] can inspire not just volunteers and trustees, but the whole community to be part of a much loved building in Teddington.
"We would like to thank all the consultants involved - the brick mongers who made the now iconic engraved bricks, the structural engineer, the stall supplier and the planning officers who saw the vision and made it possible."

As part of the judgment process, the judges will visit each property in the next month or so before the winners are announced later in the Spring.
The winners will then be considered for several RIBA London Special Awards, including the RIBA London Sustainability Award and RIBA South Building of the Year, before being considered for a highly coveted RIBA National Award, which will be announced in summer.
The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize – the UK's best new building – will be drawn from the RIBA National Award-winning projects and announced in September. The Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
RIBA London Director, John Nahar, said: "This year's London shortlist showcases talent across multiple sectors, from private residences and affordable housing to major cultural institutions, education, healthcare, and more.
"It is equally encouraging to see such a wide range of practices represented. The presence of sole practitioners and SMEs alongside some of the industry's most established names, reflects the strength, depth, and diversity of London's architectural landscape.
"Together, these shortlisted projects demonstrate the innovation, commitment, and creative energy that shapes our city. Congratulations to all the teams and individuals recognised this year."
