Teddington Society is planning to hold Teddington in Flower, their popular open garden event, next year on Sunday 18 May 2025.

The event has been a centrepiece of the Society's calendar for many years and, when last held in April 2023, it was another great success, providing a very enjoyable day for visitors and raising over £3,500 for charity.

Teddington Society is now in early planning stages and say that "the most vital ingredient will, of course, be the gardens".

Thus, it has asked the following questions:

  1. Do you have a garden you could be persuaded to share for an afternoon?
  2. Do you have a Teddington neighbour or a friend with a garden that would interest others?
  3. Have you spotted a Teddington garden with kerb appeal that you could recommend?

Garden owners don't need to be Teddington Society members.

The only requirement is that gardens need to be accessible via a side or back gate, not through the house.

There were 12 garden spaces at the event last year and Teddington Society would love to see even more next year. All types of gardens are welcome, whether they be big ones, small ones, shady, sunny, exotic, gravel, vegetable, wild (very trendy), or courtyard. The just have to be real gardens.

They don't have to be show gardens.

If they are loved and cared for, then they'll fit the mark.

The event all about exchanging planting and planning ideas, successes, mishaps and celebrating the individuality we all bring to cultivating our plots.

If you can answer yes or maybe to any of the three questions above, email Jo Nicholds at [email protected] for a chat or to ask any questions about the event.
