Teddington RNLI crew assisted with rescue efforts when the whale got stuck

Teddington RNLI will feature in a new BBC2 programme tonight.

The show called Saving Lives at Sea will be broadcast at 8pm and later available on iPlayer.

During the programme Teddington RNLI crew members talk about the incident in May this year when a minke whale calf became stuck at the Lock.

The crew were highly involved in the events of the day, from patrolling the lock area to helping co-ordinate rescue attempts and working with specialist vets.

Tune in at 8pm to hear them talk about this unique experience.
