Teddington restaurant wins prestigious business award

Shambles Wine Bar and Restaurant, located on Teddington's High Street, won Britain's Best 'Family Business Legacy Award' at this year's Small Awards on Thursday (22 May).
Now in its ninth year, The Small Awards is a nationwide search for the UK's greatest small firms, across all sectors. It is organised annually by Small Business Britain, which champions and supports the nation's 5.5 million small firms.
Family-run Shambles was established in 1983 by Franco & Jackie Langella. In 2004, their children Massimo and Margherita took over the business and have been running it for the past 20 years.

Speaking about the award, Massimo told Teddington Nub News: "Kudos to the amazing Small Awards Team for hosting a fantastic black tie and masquerade awards ceremony on Thursday evening.
"We couldn't be happier to have been nominated as finalists but to win the actual 'Legacy Award for Best Family Business' was an absolute, massive honour for Shambles.
"Big thanks to our team and everyone that has work at Shambles over the past 41 years and of course our parents Franco and Jackie Langella who started the business back in 1983.
"We met some really amazing and inspiring small businesses, and we can't wait to collaborate with them in future B2B projects.
"The event was presented by the very talented Sue Perkins with the awards being judged by business leaders from Xero, BT and Constant Contact.

"The biggest possible thanks goes to Michelle and her super talented team at Small Business Britain for everything they do for all the 5.5 million small businesses across the UK. You guys are 'simply the best!"
