Outdoor Pools can reopen from tomorrow but that won't be the case for Teddington Pools and Fitness.

It takes time to prepare to open the outdoor pool so the July 11th date comes too soon.

Teddington Pools and Fitness said: "We welcome the government's announcement on the reopening of swimming pools and sports facilities.

"The safety of staff and customers is paramount and facilities will only be opened in a planned and measured approach when it is safe to do so.

"To ensure that all our facilities can meet social distancing guidelines, measures are being put in place at all our facilities including limiting numbers in all activity areas, advance booking and queuing systems and increased cleaning.

"The timing of this announcement means it is not possible for the outdoor pool at Pools in the Park to reopen on July 11th. The outdoor grounds remain closed."

The centre hopes to announce their reopening date in the near future.
