Teddington PHOTO SPECIAL: Spectacular fireworks light up the Lensbury Club

By Ellie Brown - Local Democracy Reporter 5th Nov 2021

SPECTACULAR fireworks lit up skies over Teddington last night as the Lensbury Club put on its ever-popular annual fireworks display.

Last year's event was sadly cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic, but in 2021 the Lensbury were back with a bang.

The evening kicked off with seasonal drinks, food stalls, and inflatable rides for children, then later the audience watched an incredible display of comets, palms, brocades and starbursts set to music

Guests later took to Twitter to praise the "amazing" show, although some would have liked to see the Lensbury doing more to support local businesses.

Richard Shead urged the club "PLEASE don't go too commercial" and urged them to engage with independents such as Twickenham brewers Jawbone and Twickenham Ales.

Other fireworks nights will soon be taking place in Teddington so keep your eyes and ears peeled, and take precautions if you have pets.

Upcoming events include the Collis School fireworks on Saturday 6 November, which will include entertainment from Riverside Radio, local musicians, fairground rides and a craft beer stall run by Kingston-based brewery the Park.
