Last night, 24 October, a "vigilant" resident's call to police led to a suspect being arrested for theft of a push bike from the Teddington BR station and being in possession of an angle grinder.

Teddington MPS said: "Thank you to the for your quick call which led to this positive result."

Data shows that there were 963 reported bike thefts in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames in September.

South West London Police has been contacted for more information.
