Teddington: local theatre club launch competition for young and aspiring theatre reviewers

Teddington theatre club have launched a writing competition for young and aspiring theatre critics.

16 to 18 year-olds who are in full-time education are being invited to pen a review of the club's newest production, 'Escaped Alone' by Caryl Churchill.

The show opens tonight (2 September) and is the club's first ever video-only production.

It will be streaming every night from 7.30pm until Monday 6 September.

Competition entrants have until 15 September to write and submit their review, which must be 500 words or less.

Judges are looking for a genuine critique or opinion piece about the production.

Winners will receive 2 tickets to a production of their choice and recognition of their writing achievements through local publicity and social media.

The winning review will also appear on the club's website.
