How far would you go to inspire young people through outdoor adventure?

Last week Henry Morris from Teddington cycled 982 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise vital funds for The Outward Bound Trust, supporting their mission to help young people build resilience, confidence, and curiosity through outdoor experiences.

On his journey, Henry made a brief pit stop at Outward Bound's head office based in Cumbria to share his motivation for taking on such a huge challenge.

He's already raised over £8,500 to help more young people experience the benefits of outdoor learning.

Morris said: "As a father, I've seen first-hand how much young people can gain from spending time away from screens and getting in the outdoors.

"Outward Bound helps young people across the UK break free from their everyday routines, take on new challenges, and discover what they're truly capable of. I'm really proud to support that."

Outward Bound's work focuses on giving young people, regardless of background, the chance to step outside their comfort zones, try new adventures, and grow through outdoor challenges.

Each year, the charity supports over 24,000 young people, with 80% receiving financial assistance to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part.

Martin Davidson, Outward Bound's Chief Executive was there to cheer on Henry.

He said: "Henry's dedication is remarkable, and his support will have a lasting impact. The funds raised will help young people gain the confidence and skills they need to succeed, both in and out of the classroom."

Henry's journey spanned nine days, tackling steep climbs with a total elevation of over 50,000 feet—almost twice the height of Mount Everest.

His determination and passion for the cause are inspiring others to support outdoor learning and adventure.
