Teddington library is back with extended opening times and a repaired glass dome

By Ellie Brown - Local Democracy Reporter 5th Nov 2021

Teddington Library has re-opened for book borrowing and browsing, after being closed four months of essential repair work.

The Grade II listed building was shut in February this year so work could take place on its glass ceiling and historic dome (pictured in gallery above).

The Library formally re-opened last Thursday (13 May) and since then Richmond Council has extended its opening hours, meaning there's even more time to make the most of the library's browse and borrow, click & collect and PC services.

Here are the opening hours for Teddington Library:

- Monday 10:30am–12:30pm, 1:30–7pm

- Tuesday 10:30am–12:30pm, 1:30–6pm

- Wednesday 10:30am–12:30pm, 1:30–7pm

- Thursday 10:30am–12:30pm, 1:30–6pm

- Friday 10:30am–12:30pm, 1:30–6pm

- Saturday 10:30am–12:30pm, 1:30–4pm

- Sunday Closed

Teddington Library is located on Waldegrave Road, just off Teddington high street.

Built in 1906, the library has a distinct Edwardian Baroque style and is regarded as a place of architectural and historical interested by Historic England.
