Teddington's Landmark Arts Centre got a boost this week as its fundraiser was shared on Instagram by Daisy Edgar-Jones , the leading actress of smash hit BBC miniseries Normal People.

Edgar Jones, who has 877k followers on her account, posted a message of support for the the Landmark's prize draw which closes tomorrow Saturday 19 June .

The BAFTA-nominated actress filmed a Comic Relief Sketch at the Landmark last year with Normal People co-star Paul Mescal and Fleabag's 'hot priest' Andrew Scott.

A print of the Landmark by local artist Jennie Ing that is signed by the trio is the main prize in the fundraiser, which has raised over £2,000 for the centre in ticket sales since it started last month (May 2021).

Staff at the community arts centre are hoping that Edgar Jones' endorsement will encourage people to buy tickets and help raise much needed funds for the centre after the pandemic saw it lose much of its income streams.

Centre Manager at the Landmark, Lesley Bossine, commented: "We've kept Daisy, Paul and

Andrew tagged in to the promotions around the raffle, but of course we know they're busy

people, so we couldn't believe it when Daisy's story popped up with our poster – it's like she's

sprinkled a little magic.

"We're so thankful to her as it's really given us a boost and will hopefully bring in more donations in the last four days."

The special #normalpeopleprint is on display at The Landmark and the prize draw closes at

6pm on Saturday 19 June, when the lucky winner will be randomly selected.

Proceeds raised will help The Landmark reach a target of £26,000 that is needed to keep the centre open after a loss of income due to the pandemic.

Don't miss out! Bid here for your chance to win this unique print and help keep our community arts centre thriving.
