Flash flooding hit parts of the UK and London with a yellow warning issued for the capital yesterday (23 September), affecting commuters' travel plans.

Since then, the Government has removed its flooding alert for south west London this morning although it says "standing water and debris may still remain".

At the time of writing, all tube lines are running normally apart from the District and Elizabeth lines which are experiencing minor and severe delays.

However, minor delays on the District line between Earl's Court and Wimbledon are not from flooding but from signal failure at East Putney.

The Gov has also say weather conditions are to improve today and no further flooding is expected.

The Met Office has issued no warnings for today and say the showers are expected to "ease" and bring a "largely dry and bright day."

"Some showers during the early hours. These easing to bring a largely dry day with some bright spells by the afternoon. Light winds and feeling a little fresher than recent days. Maximum temperature 18 °C," The Met Office say.

The flooding on 23 September come as the London Fire Brigade reveal it has taken 350 calls to the flooding.
