Following a "successful" taster session at the Adelaide pub last month (June), a Teddington female darts group has now officially launched its second squad.

For the new squad's first official meetip, the ladies met with Teddington Women's Amateur Darts League (TWADL) from 7pm - 9pm on Tuesday, 14 July and, amongst plenty of chats and a few drinks, played a couple of easy, fun games of Round The World whilst also learning advice and tips on darts technique.

Speaking about the first session, one of TWADL's founders, Hannah, told Nub News: "What makes this particularly special is that every member of Team Adelaide attended the original TWADL taster session just a few weeks ago.

"They'd all come along on their own to try something different and meet new people, and they're now beginning what we hope will be many Tuesday evenings together.

"It's really lovely to see how quickly complete strangers can become a team.

"The atmosphere at The Adelaide last night was incredibly relaxed and welcoming, and by the end of the evening they were already making plans to meet back at the pub before next week's practice session for a drink and a game of darts together.

"It's exactly what we hoped TWADL would become - a regular opportunity for women to get together in a low pressure environment, develop a shared love of darts, meet new people and become part of a local community."

With Team Adelaide now underway, TWADL is looking ahead to launching a third Teddington team this September at The Masons Arms.

It is currently looking for another three women to complete the team. No previous darts experience is needed - most of TWADL'smembers have never thrown a dart before joining.

The teams are open to women of all ages and abilities and meet once a week in a relaxed, organised environment where members can learn and improve at darts, enjoy a regular social activity and build genuine friendships along the way.

TWADL membership includes:
