Teddington bin collections changing this week due to heat

Bin collections are taking place earlier this week in Teddington (credit: Richmond Council).

Changes to rubbish and recycling collections are coming to Teddington this week, the Council has announced.

Bin collections will take place earlier in the day on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (12, 13 and 14 August) to "help protect our collection crews in the heat", said Richmond Council.

They will be carried out from 5.45am, so the council asks residents to have their bins out by 5am.

Realistically who is up and about five o'clock to put their boxes out? Most people will just keep them for an extra week, and then the poor workman will be inundated next week. What a stupid idea. And if you put them out before midnight they will just be ripped apart by foxes
