Teddington-based charity to host Disability Pride celebration event

Local charity Ruils Independent Living is hosting a free Disability Pride celebration event at its office in Teddington this July.
Disability Pride Month is an important time to celebrate the identities, experiences and contributions of Disabled people.
Ruils is inviting locals to drop in to the Disability Action and Advice Centre at 4 Waldegrave Road, Teddington on Thursday, 30 July any time between 12.30pm and 2pm for:
- Drinks and snacks
- Crafts including make your own pin badge and design a tote bag
- Free Sunflower Hidden Disabilities lanyard
- An opportunity to get to know other local Disabled people
This event is open to the Disabled community, carers and allies of Disabled people.
For those interested in Disability rights and campaigning, you can join the monthly Your Say meeting in the same room at 2pm.
This group creates and delivers campaigns across the borough to make Richmond more accessible and inclusive.
