A Teddington-based charity, focused on supporting the people of Ukraine with ambulances, pick-Up trucks, and aid, is setting off on its 23rd humanitarian mission to the war torn country today (Wednesday, 27 May).
Mighty Convoy, which is based on Cambridge Road and led by Simon Brake, is taking three ambulances and three pick-up trucks on a 1245-mile cross-country journey to Lviv in the west of Ukraine, 50 miles from the Polish border today.
The latest mission will mark a milestone of 100 vehicles being delivered to Ukraine and over 140 volunteer drivers supporting the effort.
Since starting, it has raised around £650,000, and driven over 20 convoys comprising 86 ambulances and pick up trucks full of "really important" medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
However, the not-for-profit says that it needs donations to help fund its future missions, and so it launched a fundraising page last month.
Mighty Convoy has already raised £80,411 of its £100k target.
You can donate to its fundraising page here.
