Teddington artists feature in new Ealing pop-up gallery
Teddington artists make up half the exhibitors at a new gallery in Ealing Broadway Centre launched this week.
Kate Winskill, founder of Teddington based pop-up art gallery company 1of1design, was delighted to open a new, bigger gallery in West London.
Conveniently placed adjacent to Tesco and the main lifts in the popular Ealing shopping centre, the gallery has opened with some familiar TW11 faces but a crew of new artists and photographers too.
If your taste is colourful rainbow animals, well known artist Raph Thomas is your man, whilst local painters Di Phelps Lister and Dilys Foster both explore moody landscapes.
Collage specialist Stephen Doak, well known for his ingenious rendering of local landmarks in cut paper, is also showing new work including abstract paintings, and Tracy Florance is making her Ealing debut with her photography.
Kate Winskill, Yulia Robinson & Lauren Mavromatis who all met training in art & design at Kingston College will be there too, with highly coloured new work crafted in lockdown.
Andrew Rollings, Centre Director at Ealing commented: "The Ealing Broadway centre are delighted to be able to host this great group of artists in a new location in the centre.
"I think we all need some colour in our lives after the last year, and we are sure this new gallery can provide that."
So if you want to brighten up your home for spring or start your own collection of original art, now is the time!
Work starts at just £10 going up to £2000, so there's something for everyone's budget.
The Ealing gallery is open daily from 11 to 5pm. It's a lovely big space so you can browse in safety.
Want to visit but don't have a car? 1of1Design delivers art free in Teddington, Kingston and surrounding areas.
And if you can't decide between pieces , just ask about home viewing to see the artwork in your own space.
